It’s the third week of September, which means advent calendar season has quietly started. The good ones sell through by early December, and the LEGO calendars in particular tend to vanish once the holiday rush begins. So I’m starting the hunt now.
This is the first batch of what I’ll be sharing here at Christmas Hearth. I’ve sorted it by who you’re shopping for: the kids, the teens, the perfume lovers, the friend who needs a break, and the one person in your life who runs on coffee. Eleven picks to start, and there are more coming, so check back.

For the kids: the LEGO calendars
Three LEGO calendars are already live at major retailers, and each one gives a child a small build to look forward to every morning.
LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2026 (set 75456). This is the family pick. The 2026 listings show 24 surprises with a Star Wars and Mandalorian theme, so it works for the kid who already has a shelf of figures and for the parent who secretly wants to open a few doors too.

LEGO Friends Advent Calendar 2026 (set 42698). A good fit for younger kids, and a natural choice if you’re building a holiday gift list for girls. Friends sets are made for play after the build is done, which matters when a calendar has to hold attention for 24 days.

LEGO Disney Princess Advent Calendar 2026 (set 43298). Disney Princess plus Christmas is about as photogenic as a gift gets. If you’re the sort of person who saves things on Pinterest, this is the one that will get saved.

Pokémon and fidgets for kids and teens
Pokémon holiday calendar. Pokémon has to be on any list like this. Jazwares has put out a 24-day Pokémon holiday calendar in recent years, with around 59 pieces inside.

NeeDoh advent calendar. Squishy fidget toys and teenagers get along well, and a calendar full of them is an easy win for kids who don’t want candy or another toy that sits in a drawer.

Perfume, self-care and coffee

More on the way
That’s the first batch, and I’m nowhere near done. Still to come: more Pokémon and NeeDoh listings once I’ve confirmed them, a closer look at coffee calendars, and more picks for the people who are hardest to shop for. I’ll keep adding lists between now and December, so bookmark this page or come back often. If there’s a calendar you’re hoping to see, tell me and I’ll go look for it.
